I hope everyone has had a fabulous holiday season and a great beginning to 2009. I haven't written for a while. I'm in Farmington for the holiday staying with my family. I always say that one thing I miss about not being in Utah all the time is the mountains. So, I finally went out and did some outdoor hiking in the winter. Also known as snowshoeing. Here are some pictures and a quick video.

Another one of the perks of living near the mountains is being able to go snowboarding. I started snowboarding when I was in high school, I think. (That's so bad that I can't even remember. I must be getting old!) I don't go often enough to be a spectacular stuntwoman, but I like to carve down the mountain. It's like skating on clouds...except when you fall. Then it's like face planting on icy gravel. Fun, fun. I try not to have frequent appointments with the gravel. Anyway, I was able to go with my sisters Angie and Alyssa a few days ago. Here are some more pics.

All in all it was an injury-free experience and fun to be outdoors! Here's to living near the mountains!
