Intramural Champion

March Madness is here! This week I played in an intramural basketball championship game. Our team is pretty good. It's a bunch of graduate students - thus, our name: The Graduates. Throughout the intramural season we beat the other teams by the mercy rule - at least 30 points at the 5 min mark. But we knew going into the championship game that it would be a competitive fight. Both teams had former collegiate athletes. I was looking forward to guarding a girl from the other team, who played at Western Illinois (but quit last year). The game went down to the wire. With 30 seconds left we were down by one point with the ball. A guy got fouled in the act of shooting and made both shots. We were up by one at that point. The other team had 9 seconds to get a shot off and they missed it! So we ended up winning by one point - 62-61. It was a great game. Fun to play in and compete hard. I was sore the next day...I am getting old, after all.

Check you out! That's awesome! It's always so nice to do something you truly enjoy "for real" every now and again. Like me being about to sing in an amazing choir they put together for Stake Conference not too long ago. Amazing conductor/arranger, people who could actually sing......it was only for 3 weeks which was not nearly long enough but it gave me tingles every time. Love it! Congrats to you!!!

K, know I already commented. But I was watching Anastasia the other day (yup, Kate, age 3 loves it- especially the satan-selling-soul part) and bartok the bat made me laugh so hard out loud- totally thought of you. Loved it. Love love loved it. You are the funniest girl. Thanks for happy memories.
