Brief Reflections on the WIU '07-'08 Year

It's almost summer time for me. . . I've been taking a three week 3-credit course and we have 3 days left. I'm ready for a break. My apartment is becoming more and more empty as I make trips to my storage unit hauling all my things a little at a time to their home for the next two and a half months. Macomb has been a good place for me these last ten months. I've made some good friends and I've learned a lot.

This is a picture of the Young Single Adult group here. We had a bonfire in someone's backyard and roasted marshmellows.

This year has been a great growth experience for me as a graduate student as well. I've been privileged to work with an amazing professor, Dr. Laura Finch, in my Sport Psychology program. I really hit the jackpot with her as a mentor/advisor. One of the highlights of this past academic year was attending the AASP Conference (Association for Applied Sport Psychology) in Louisville, KY in October. I'm looking forward to another conference in October 2008 in St. Louis!

Having said that, I am, nonetheless, really looking forward to a break! Bring on the summer!
