Tour of My Apartment

I'm all moved in to my apartment and somewhat organized so I decided to take some pictures. I feel like I live in a different world out here. Only my parents have seen where I live and what the town is like because they drove me out to Macomb last summer. But I feel like the rest of you will never see my world, my life at WIU. Maybe these pictures will help you get a glimpse of my living environment...or maybe it will just make you claustrophic! :)

It's a small apartment. I have a living room and a hallway/kitchen, a bathroom, and a bedroom. It's perfect for one person.

Earlier this week one of my professors was getting rid of all his old furniture because they were getting new stuff. He offered me one of his couches. I quickly accepted because the only couch I have is a University furnished wooden framed loveseat with two cushions. My new couch is so comfortable! I'm really excited to have it. Now if anyone wants to come visit me in Illinois I can offer them my bed and I can sleep on this comfortable couch!

In the past several years I have started collecting chess sets. For my birthday this past summer, one of my good friends bought me a chess set while she was in Ecuador this summer. I love it! Someday I'm going to have a room full of chess sets and books lining the walls.

Ok...I guess I'm never allowed to complain about my small kitchen again! Wowzer! But I am so glad you have your own place. Very fun!

Dd Catherine give you that? Awesome stuff! Thanks for the tour. Although I did not ever really live in such cramped apartments, it definitely reminded me of my/our good ol' college days. :) (Which you still get to enjoy!) :)
