My family just returned from a trek to Lake Powell! It was great. We camped on the beach at Lone Rock campground. It was a different experience at Lake Powell than we usually have. Usually it's battling the heat and loving the refreshing water. This time the air temperature was in the upper 70s and it cooled down into the mid 50s at night. For one who loves the cooler air- especially at night- it was great! But the cooler water was a little bit too chilly to be comfortable in. Although once you were in for a while, after much shivering, you could get used to it.
But it was great being with my family and being out on the lake. I think Lake Powell is one of the most beautiful places in the world! Then again- I haven't been across the whole world, so I can't say for certain (thus, the caveat of "i think").
Well, this is kind of a short update, but I'm trying to follow through with my goal of blogging more on a regular basis.

Yay for regular updates! Lake Powell sounds nice without the oppressive heat... although it made me laugh that it was "OK, once you stopped shivering..." Sounds fun!;)
Although, I've learned that just about any trek or adventure is fun if I get to do it with family.
Love the pictures! Looks like you guys had fun!
